I don’t have much to say this morning. My blood pressure was high when I took it. I slept in alarmingly late.
Wednesdays are long days for me. Yesterday I tried to pace myself better. I decided it wasn’t the day to begin to talk to the ballet department about their poor pay for piano accompanists. More importantly after my 3 PM class, instead of rushing off to church to practice and prepare for the upcoming evening rehearsal, I read fiction (George Saunders…. that guy rocks).
I finished a section in Turkle’s book on Conversation in which she suggests a lot of activity to remedy how our phones and technology is taking us away from being human. It’s not easy to synopsize and I’m thinking seriously of photocopying the entire chapter for future reference. Maybe I’ll scan it in and attach to my Google doc of book notes (I tend to make a doc for most books I read, even the ones I own, but especially ones that have to go back to the library).
Well that’s it for today. Thanks for reading.
